Targets and goals for the future determined by the EPA, WDNR, the government and the community
- Elimination of all toxins including PCB’s and Mercury
- Removal of restrictions on fish and wildlife consumption
- Manage invasive species
- Re drawing boundaries of the AOC to include pollution sources upstream
- Determine source of PCB’s contaminating the Milwaukee River and Cedar Creek
- No beach closings
- Removal of 170,000 cubic yards of contaminated sediment from the Kinnickinnick River, this action will result in decreasing the area’s PCB mass
by 90%
